IDAE’s activity in Public Services includes the various actions in the field of energy saving and efficiency within the scope of the Public Administration.

The activities fall within a strategy that takes the following into account: 

The Administration consumes energy. In this sense, the IDAE signs agreements and treaties and carries out various kinds of projects with the various organs of the Public Administration with a view to quantifying energy consumption in installations and adopting solutions that will contribute to its optimisation. Likewise, the Institute carries out communication and dissemination campaigns through publications, information days and training.

The Administration is a regulatory and police-making body. The IDAE, in this field, collaborates with the Public Administration in the development and dissemination of energy regulations. It also carries out technical counselling for the Local Administration, for example, with the proposal of a Municipal Bylaw Model; and for the State, implementing the draft on the Supplementary Technical Regulations for Street Lighting.
