The IDAE takes a financial interest in various types of companies or associations when the economic scale, applicable legislation, or technical nature of the project so require. Depending on the type of mode of participation selected, the IDAE's involvement in the project may range from defining all its details and funding it, through to taking a minority shareholding in the capital of the company executing the project.

The common forms of involvement are the following:

Temporary Business Unions (UTE)

Economic Interest Groups (AIE)

Shares in companies

Participation accounts.

Technology development agreements.
